Wendy Ward served five years on the Cultural Heritage Commission for the
City of Napa, focusing on policy, planning and legal aspects. She received a certificate in Land Use and Environmental Planning from the University of California
Davis Spring of 2011 and will be an incoming graduate student at the University of Minnesota's, School of Architecture Heritage Conservation and Preservation program.
Wendy completed the University of Southern California's School
of Architecture Historic Preservation summer intensive program, as well as the National
Trust's Preservation Leadership program held in Birmingham, AL. in 2009. Wendy was a board member of the Napa County Historical Society for three years, a member of the California Preservation Foundation and the Vernacular Architecture Forum. She is a fruit tree farmer,
grows vegetables year round, is a seriously avid cyclist and cannot say no to a
documentary.

When Phil first came to the Valley he was the Special Events Operations Manager at the Culinary Institute of America Greystone then went on to Far Niente Winery. Phil is also a mixed media artist. Jeffrey Redding - Owner, Land Use Planning Services, an environmental consulting business. Past Director of Conservation, Development and Planning for the County of Napa. Susan Hirschy -Masters in Historic Preservation, University of Georgia, Athens. A specialist in the valuation of historic properties, including work with the City of Richmond, Virgina assisting in identifying and cataloging historic properties as well as designation of historic districts.
Our History
With
her background in preservation policy, political science, anthropology
and marketing, Director Wendy Ward saw a need for increased
collaboration, creativeness and responsiveness to the many preservation
issues that face both the City and County of Napa. Combined with our
broad based board member skills, Preservation Napa Valley is positioned
to be the most innovative, responsive and effective historic
preservation advocacy group around.
